Baby Remote — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Local-first by design
Baby Remote is a local-first baby-tracking app. Your data stays on your device and, if you choose, on your own home server. We do not run a cloud service that collects your data.
What we collect
Nothing on our servers. The events you log (timestamps and categories such as feed, diaper, sleep, pump, and contraction) are stored locally on your phone. There are no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
Optional integrations you control
If you connect the app to your own infrastructure — a Home Assistant / MQTT broker, a Baby Buddy server, or the Baby Remote hardware device — event data is sent only to those systems, which you own and operate. We never receive it.
Firmware updates
The companion device downloads firmware from fw.shmaestro.com. These requests contain no personal data.
Children's data
The app records information about a child that a parent or guardian enters. That information remains on the parent's device and chosen home systems, and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
Data deletion
Delete the app to remove all locally stored data. Data held in your own Home Assistant or database is managed entirely by you.
